秋風

I feel 秋風(Akikaze, autumn breeze) is poetic. Yesterday, I dropped in a Japanese garden and took a rest for an instant .There was not autumn flavor's sight in the garden.

However, I feel autumn's flavor when the wind blowed, the cold air went through my clothes and I heard sounds of the wind. It was a kind of artistic experience.

likely, without expressions, arts are arts. Affliction of artists is how to express his feelings with manner of expression without any form. A form is just a footprint of his anguish. Suppose people appreciating works are hikers, artists are people who pave the path way. There are many vintage path ways in the world.

At the garden, I recalled a Waka poem :

秋きぬと目にはさやかに見えねども、風の音にぞおどろかれぬる。

(藤原敏行 『古今集』)

あききぬと めにはさやかに みえねども かぜのおとにぞ おどろかれぬる

(ふじわら としゆき 『こきんしゅう』)

It means: I don't see the distinct sight of fall yet, but we realized autumn already came when I feel the wind in my bones.

Bye the way, do you think autumn breeze is colorful? I recalled another poem when I walked on a tree-lined road.

吹く風の色のちぐさに見えつるは 秋のこのはの散ればなりけり

(『古今集』)

ふくかぜの いろのちぐさに みえつるは あきのこのはの ちればなりけり

(『こきんしゅう』)

It means: I feel autumn breeze is colorful because leaves are falling.

こきんしゅう(Kokinshu) was compiled in A.D. 905 or so.

I took the photo at my home. I wrote the Kanji. Hmm, I think I need a real brush! I think the bottom of the kanji is too wide. Shodo-Teachers won't commend it.

Hmm,,,,,the more I see the kanji, the more I regret I uploaded the Kanji, the more I recall how to write.
