Let's study traditional Osaka 文楽(ぶんらく)

Good morning. Speaking of Osakan culture, it is Bunraku. Bunraku is a world-class Japanese puppet show. Please go to this web site. http://www2.ntj.jac.go.jp/unesco/bunraku/en/contents/whats/index.html

You can see a movie here, although these are too small.

Awful skill as a singer too. I think Bunraku is more artistic than kabuki. Many Edo Kabuki have meaningless showiness, I feel.

There is National Bunraku theater in Osaka. It is too bad we can't see delicate moving of the puppets with the low quality movies. But I think you can see the moves are very artistic. UNESCO virtually got at a decision to designate Bunraku as one of first Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Well, have a nice sunday.

It is a photo of Sefuku-ji temple in Osaka.
