Japanese Fall, Red Leaves Falling.

It takes 40 minutes to visit Kyoto station from my family home. If I can back to Osaka, I can visit Kyoto. Now I plan to visit Kyoto to see red leaves. There are many site spots in Kyoto, I wonder where I should go this time. I've been to almost every where in Kyoto.

I love to abandon myself to the aspect. I feel mercy and feel that as if my conscious mind "melt away". I think It is a kind of pure land. The aspects transcend beauty.

Even if there is a beautiful garden, the aspects transcend beauty is not in the garden but in our mind. Thus, I need to calm myself. I breathe deep three times and try to abandon my conscious mind seeing the garden.

It is a mental state in which I should return. It may be a kind of peaceful state of mind. It is not perfect peaceful state but may be the imperfection is the perfect. (Because I don't think we necessarily need to get in profound meditation, like Buddhist yoga-sect and Tendai-sect and so on, to know what is Zen and Pure land buddhism. Though, It is a ready-made opinions from my teacher(university), and my sect is Tendai-sect. I may get chewed out by my bonze.=P)

I based such feeling on understanding what human kind is since I started to learn buddhism. I think I never believe goodness of human but I realized goodness of human and realized we all have this mental state at the base of our mind. I become to think such thing through the experience. Thus, I also say we have nature of buddha too. We are just mazing in this world.

Even if I misunderstood what human kind is, I suppose many monks think same thing. Although monks explain in buddhist technical terms, perhaps, it is truth which can be explain with general words.

Two years ago, I walked again on Pathway of Philosophy in Kyoto. It is named because Nishida Kitaro who is a famous philosopher often took a walk there. I walked there with me recalling his philosophy.

Then, a leave was falling. I thought what is happening within my self.

Everyone is both actors and nonegos (the object) at the same time. The falling leave is same as us. Every actors are not actors. There is no actors who perfectly act on their own initiative. Everything is affected by everything. Intention is also passive too. The leave is beautiful and fugacious. It is also pitiful. The leave rolling in air and we all are mazing in our life as the leave. Thus, Buddhism is benevolent without limit. We all are entity which should be showed mercy. we can have mercy because we can return to peaceful state of mind even if it is not perfect.

To visit Kyoto is to realize what I am for me. There are many temples in Tokyo area. However, Kyoto is my favorite place except Osaka. Primarily, I'm a Kansai-jin. I've never thought Tokyo's traditional culture is better than ours!!!! The capital of Japan is Osaka!! (I'm getting to be fully open condition of foul passion. haha)

Well, we've come to the end of the story.

----notes

Kansai-jin: people or a person who lives in Kansai area. Kansai area consists of Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara and etc. People of Osaka hate Tokyo.

The photo is not mine. I found it on http://www.eikando.or.jp/lightup.htm
