Once, South Korea and Japan made it but it fail to discuss. A Japanese researcher said Korean researchers intended to bring Korean own political benefit into the research, so they couldn't discuss it scholastically. I think that Korean researchers wanted to define Japan was utterly wrong, and that Korean people also wanted to do it because Koreans are always emotional against this issue.
People tend to distinguish between good and bad in the tide of history. However, history is not the area to judge people as right or wrong. History is not job of courts, rather, it is a growth record of human kind. As well as doctors write in patient's file, historians shouldn't write right and wrong in papers. This coldly objective is result from wisdom.
Conscience involves an ability to give much thought to another set of values. When we consider about our history, we face collision between our values, then we are awake to need to give much thought to history from an objective standpoint. The world that emotion is the the fact is the world of art, religion ,,,,and hell.
Even though many Chinese and Koreans hate Japan, Japan is not repulsive to other countries.

Although I don't know how they researched about it, it is good figure for Japanese.
I think Japan should not meet China halfway, should advocate its opinion scholastically. I've heard German also made a study group but they couldn't achieve a settlement. It is OK because I guess the difference would trigger mutual understanding. Luckily, China is wiser than South Korea. If Japan researchs and discusses it well, it will affect relation between South Korea and Japan.
Anyway, at last my bad cough took a turn for the better.
I took the photo at Tokorozawa Staion.
