Hokkaido, A Japanese Mecca.

Now I plan to go to Hokkaido, a northern island in Japan. It's huge and there are many sight spot. Hence, I can't decide where I should go when I visit there.

Hokkaido became a part of Japan in Edo era or age of civil strife. Originally Hokkaido was not Japan and a island where Ainu race people habited. Hokkaido has been flourished from Meiji era.(Meiji era is a time ruled by westernized imperial Japan.) Thus, there are not many Japanese traditional culture things instead of there are many westernized things.

While the development, there are still many nature forests and plains. I do want to go to Kushiro bog. However, I have to go to Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido, before the traveling on business. That makes me indecision. Sapporo is far from Kushiro bog. I found this pictures on a web site of Kushiro tourist association.

Hokkaido is also a mecca of raw seafoods. You can eat fresh Uni, Ikura, crab, tuna, and others. Those are so deliciaous that I have gotten food poisoning last year. I had to take a rest for 10 days. But I want to eat them even if I have gotton it again.

Hmm, where should I visit?

I will visit there in end-November.
